Why Was Arrested Development Cancelled? ( via heyitsnoah : Daily Clique)

Everytime someone asks me this question my heart gets heavy. Since 2006 people have been wondering why Arrested Development didnt make it. I dont think it was b/c of the poor marketing. It was definitely too smart/witty for mainstream america.
But the real reason the show was canceled is quite simple; it was before its time. Meaning it was before youtube,hulu even before itunes let you buy tv shows.
There were rumors back in the day they wanted to cancel The Office as well but didnt because it was such a hit on itunes.
Great shows will be kept alive as long as the networks allow them to be distributed everywhere. Enabling their target audience to consume the content from wherever or whenver they like.
A good example of a brilliant show that is only still alive b/c of the internets is It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia. [which FX took off of HULU for some reason]
If you havent seen an episode of Arrested Development yet, its on HULU, for now…
