Remember how cool flash restaurant sites were? Remember how much they suck on iPhones now?! i.e. http://redvelvetcafelv.com [pictured above] I want to do something about it. Not sure what exactly. Maybe setup a simple way to scrape relevant info from sites that arent mobile friendly using Mechanical Turk and then have an alternative site. Or maybe a way for ppl to submit the sites that are still not mobile friendly and let them tell the proprietors. Sort of like the way Amazon lets you notify the publisher if a book you want isnt available on the kindle. Or how about providing ppl with alternative restaurant choices. Anyways as a 1st step, I bought a bunch of domains the other night. first time this year :) EATSOMEWHEREELSE.COM FLASHRESTAURANTSITES.COM FLASHRESTAURANTS.COM STUPIDFLASHRESTAURANTSITES.COM EATELSEWHERE.COM STUPIDFLASHRESTAURANTS.COM 2nd step was to set up this tumblelog where anyone can submit the sites they find that arent iphone friendly 3rd step is going to be figuring out what the 3rd step should be.
