There are ways to enhance the utility of your site from the perspective of search engines. There just are. Some people are better at this than others, if only because they have more experience. There are entire businesses built on SEO (About.com) that couldn’t exist without SEO experts. If someone makes an absolute statement about virtually everything and you believe them, you have been conned.
I think if someone tells you that in order to market your product better you need better SEO then you need a better product.
If someone tells you in order to get higher ranked on the google you need to link to boobs and other stuff ppl are looking for on the internets then you are being conned.
