look what allthecoolkids are doing: [see what i did there] Like the rest of the world, I have been won over by the marketing for Governor’s Island. Supposed to go for a bike ride there tomorrow. And it looks like I might have to shiv some tourists to make space. The Times says Governor’s Island has “come of age this summer.” And apparently, it’s lost its innocence: People are coming. The island attracted more visitors in a three-week period this summer than the 26,000 who visited during the entire 2006 season…. (There have been attempts to stay over. Last year security workers found one couple hiding in a closet.)
